Welcome to my AS Art Personal Investigation Website.
I have investigated several photographers who follow similar themes to myself. The main themes that I am investigated are “street photography” and “candid photography”.
Street photography can be described as “a type of documentary photography — without explicit social agenda — that usually features people in candid situations in public places such as streets, parks, beaches, malls, political conventions, and other settings”. Candid photography can be described as “a snapshot photography that focuses on spontaneity rather than technique, on perfecting the immersion of a camera within events rather than focusing on setting up a staged situation, focusing on lengthy camera setup, or focusing on particularly strong lenses”.
For my photo’s I use a Canon 20D SLR camera. For the majority of my work I use a standard 18-55mm lens although I have experimented with zoom lenses (75-300mm) and wide-angle lenses (10-22mm). To store my photos on my camera I used a 2GB CompactFlash II card.
